Error 403 when attempting to update

Creation date: 11/08/2025 15:08    Updated: 03/11/2025 14:41

We have identified and resolved the recent automatic update issues affecting both ThinkAutomation and WhosOn.

If you are still experiencing update failures, please manually update your installation by following these steps:

  1. Download the correct update file for your product:

  2. Copy the downloaded file into your Program Files installation folder for your product, by default C:\Program Files\ThinkAutomation\ or C:\Program Files\WhosOn Installable\, overwriting the existing file when prompted.

  3. Restart the ThinkAutomation Studio or WhosOn Client and run the 'Check For Updates' again. You should now be notified that a new update is available.

This manual step will get your auto-updater back online while normal update checks are restored. Any future versions downloaded from our website will contain this fix and will not need these steps performing.

These steps will not effect the operation of ThinkAutomation or WhosOn, it is only required to update the auto-updates checker so that you can be notified of new updates correctly.
